Tonto Rim has just about dug out from the severe winter storm that hit this area over a week ago. The camp received over 4 feet of snow and it was beautiful.
Here is a look at Memorial Hall. The snow just kept falling for four days.
This is the entrance to Memorial Hall completely blocked from nearly ten feet of snow.
The snow continued to increase and became a serious issue for all of us here at camp. Access in and out of buildings was, obviously, very difficult and the staff were snowed in for a few days at times without electricty or water.
The plow truck only had one good axle going into the storm and on day two the good one went bad. Not being able to stay ahead of the snow made it even more difficult when the "dig out" began.
